Carla Gupta is the Chief Client Officer at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto, where she focuses on deepening client engagement, identifying strategic growth opportunities and positioning the firm as a leader in forward-thinking client strategy. Prior to joining Davies, Carla served as Director, Client and Business Development at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where she spearheaded business development strategies across key practice areas. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Auxly Cannabis Group Inc. and Hudbay Minerals Inc., leading investor relations, corporate development and strategic communications. Carla began her career as a corporate lawyer at Davies, advising public and private companies on corporate, securities and banking matters. She holds a JD/MBA from Western University and the Ivey School of Business and an Honours BBA (Co-op) from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Lazardis School of Business and Economics.
Carla grew up playing sports and understands the powerful role that athletics can play in shaping young people's lives. As a mother of two small children, she is deeply committed to initiatives that support youth development and believes in the transformative impact that community programs like Canada SCORES can have on children.
