Rochelle Salazar is a seasoned philanthropy executive with extensive experience leading major gift and planned giving teams, campaigns, and donor stewardship initiatives. As Senior Director of Philanthropy at Trinity Western University, she sets the strategic direction for both the planned giving and major gift teams and heritage society program at Trinity Western University overseeing estate administration, securing new planned and major gifts, creating performance metrics and defining fundraising dashboards to track both performance and opportunities.
Her career includes leadership roles in planned giving and philanthropy at TWU, where she confirmed significant bequests, expanded legacy giving programs, works with principal and major donors building strong partnerships and securing transformational support for institutional priorities. At SFU, she worked centrally and in the faculty of business, science and applied science expanding program, student support and research initiatives.
Having worked in both public and private post-secondary institutions (ranging from 6,000 students to 30,000), Rochelle has worked with diverse constituencies particularly with senior philanthropic leaders who support the university at the major and principal gift levels as well working within academia with senior leadership (President, Vice-Presidents, Advisory Boards, Deans, Associate Deans, key internal stakeholders).
She is recognized for her ability to set clear strategic direction, inspire teams to achieve ambitious fundraising goals, and drive alignment across complex campaigns.
