Canada SCORES is Saddened to Learn of the Passing of Past Board Director and Friend - Charlie Cuzzetto
Burnaby, May 11, 2026 – On behalf of the National Board of Canada SCORES, our Staff, and Volunteers, we wish to express our sadness at the passing of past Board Director and friend, Charlie Cuzzetto. We share our deep sympathies with Charlie’s family and friends.
Charlie made significant contributions to Canada SCORES in the time he served on our National Board, and his impact will be felt for years to come.
Prior to his passing, Charlie convened a Celebration of Life, with friends, family and colleagues.
Canada SCORES Vice-Chair, Daniel Gumprich was invited to speak at the event, in order to introduce The Charlie Cuzzetto Legacy Fund, a new appeal that Charlie wanted to establish as a final contribution to our nonprofit organization.
Donations poured in during Charlie’s final weeks, and he stayed in regular contact with us to keep up on the progress.
Should you wish to pay tribute to Charlie, and his many contributions to soccer, sport & recreation, donations are gratefully accepted to the fund in his name.
