Throughout the year, we hold a wide range of events to celebrate the achievements of our youth participants.

The perfect way to kick off the Canada SCORES school year! Kids will be playing soccer, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new players and celebrating the start of programming.

Burnaby will be hosting their event on October 10th at Twelfth Ave Elementary School.

Surrey will be hosting their event on November 1st at L.A. Matheson Secondary School.

Our Poet-Athletes participate in a City SLAM poetry, a form of performance poetry that combines the elements of performance, writing, friendly competition and audience participation. Our City SLAMs are typically hosted at a school site to facilitate attendance of friends and family. The City SLAM is the finales of our fall season and celebrates our studentsโ work and dedication in the classroom.
Burnaby will be hosting their event on Wednesday, November 27th at 6PM at Edmonds Community School
Surrey will be hosting their event on Friday, January 10th at 5PM
at Senator Reid Elementary.
Some Poet-Athletes will be selected from each school and perform at the Regional Poetry SLAM! where each Poet-Athlete will recite their poem in front of their peers, friends, family and general supporters. Our sites will compete to be the top Poet-Athlete and represent Canada SCORES Vancouver at the Annual SCORES Poetry SLAM historically hosted at one of our affiliate sites in the USA.

New this year, we are taking new heights to enhance our annual Regional Poetry SLAM! and making it more spectacular highlighting our Poet-Athlete's achievements and making each one's dream come true.

This is one event the Poet-Athletes look forward to! All teams participate in a friendly round-robin style soccer tournament and have the chance to display their skills they have been training for all year. Come and cheer on your Poet-Athletes!

In the spring, teams use their classroom time to research and choose a project that will make a difference in their community. At the end of the season, the SHOUT! event brings all the teams of their city together to showcases the community projects and to celebrate a successful year with Canada SCORES.
